The Power of Mentoring in Action
Real Stories. Lasting Impact.
Asaph Gibson Jeka, MalawiI would like to take a moment to highlight the incredible value of the Professional Mentorship Training I recently completed with Verge. This training has been a turning point in how I approach mentorship—both in clarity and depth. It has helped me understand the importance of self-awareness, setting healthy boundaries, and mentoring with intentionality and impact. I have been equipped with tools that not only strengthen my role as a mentor but also prepare me to develop leaders who can multiply and grow others.
One of the most helpful parts of the training was learning how to guide mentees through personal transformation while remaining rooted in godly character and professionalism. It challenged me to reflect deeply, communicate more effectively, and grow in empathy and leadership. I am especially grateful to our facilitator, Don Easton, for his resilience, dedication, and the powerful way he modeled servant leadership.
To all leaders, pastors, and emerging mentors—I encourage you to invest in this kind of training. The impact goes beyond the classroom; it shapes movements, restores hearts, and builds healthy leadership cultures. I’m excited to take the next step by multiplying what I’ve received into the lives of others, knowing that our mentees will rise strong and equipped for lasting influence.
Let’s keep growing together.
As someone who finds himself serving as a “pastor to pastors” the training I have received from Don to mentor others using the Health of a Christian Leader Assessment has been invaluable. This objective, diagnostic tool is a great conversation starter, and a wonderful means to uncover issues confronting pastors. The training Don offered has been so helpful. I have learned how to use the tool well. Even more, Don has demonstrated what it means to be someone who walks with other pastors and leaders as a helpful and caring friend.Dr. Doug Meye, Henderson, NV
